City Elections
The City of Stonecrest operates under the direction of the Mayor and City Council. The Mayor and City Council consist of the following:
- Mayor
- Council Member, District 1
- Council Member, District 2
- Council Member, District 3
- Council Member, District 4
- Council Member, District 5

Terms & Qualifications
Council members are elected to four-year terms. The mayor is also elected to a four-year term, but elected at-large. To be eligible to run for a city council seat, a person must:
- Be 21 years of age;
- Have resided in the city and in the district the person seeks to represent for at least one year;
- Be a qualified elector of the city;
- Meet any other requirements as established by state law.
The Mayor and Council serve staggered terms. The following are the terms currently being served:
- Mayor - 01/01/2024 to 12/31/2027
- Council Member, District 1 - 01/01/2022 to 12/31/2025
- Council Member, District 2 - 01/01/2024 to 12/31/2027
- Council Member, District 3 - 11/17/2022 to 12/31/2025
- Council Member, District 4 - 01/01/2024 to 12/31/2027
- Council Member, District 5 - 01/01/2022 to 12/31/2025

To register to vote, you must:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be a legal resident of Georgia
- Be at least 17½ years of age (and at least 18 to vote)
- Not be serving a sentence for a conviction of a felony involving moral turpitude
- Have not been found mentally incompetent by a judge
