Visit Nature Again
The Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve is a 2,500-acre nature tract at the center of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area. The nature preserve is home to one of Georgia’s monadnocks, a unique geological feature of exposed granite. More than 12 miles of hiking trails take visitors across panoramic views, wetlands, pine and oak forests, streams, and two lakes. Parking is free and so is the use of the trails. Leashed dogs are welcome. Fishing is permitted at with a valid Georgia license. The nature preserved is connected to other sites in the National Heritage Area through more than 7,000 acres of greenspace along more than 30-mile long Arabia Mountain PATH.

Education Is Key
Arabia Mountain Highschool is highlighted as one of the top performing schools in the city of Stonecrest. It is an EIC Model School, providing an Environmental, Energy and Engineering Magnet Program for grades 9-12. Instructional programs provide a strong college preparatory, career oriented foundation. They infuse instructional programs with parent and student support through parental involvement tasks & service learning for students. Students wear uniforms to build a more structured culture. Classrooms are located in the adjacent Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve.

MARTA will reduce the number of bus routes but double service on its busiest, most critical routes as a part of an Essential Service Plan. Stonecrest will gain extra service on the 111 Snapfinger Woods bus route that starts at the Indian Creek MARTA Station and the 86 Fairington Road bus route that starts at Kensington Station. Future of Transportation
The Transportation Master Plan will address transportation issues and identify mobility solutions to enhance access within the City of Stonecrest and connectivity to the region.
