Paving Program
The City of Stonecrest has been paving the City Streets since 2019. The city utilizes annual SPLOST allocation and Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG) administered by Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to resurface city streets.

Capital Program
The City, started their own Capital Improvement Program since the incorporation of the city in 2019. Prior to 2019, DeKalb County was responsible for Capital Improvement Projects in the City of Stonecrest.

Sidewalk Program
City of Stonecrest's goal is to create a walkable community, thereby promoting healthy lifestyle and provide alternate mode of travel to schools, shopping centers, parks, and recreational facilities.

Right-of-Way
A right-of-way (ROW) is a publicly owned land by local and state governments for the purpose of constructing and maintaining roads, sidewalks, and other infrastructure to facilitate pedestrian and vehicular movement. A ROW is also used by the utility companies (Gas, Electric, Water, Sewer, Cable, Fiber optic lines etc.), to install and maintain utilities.

SPLOST Program
DeKalb County voters approved a referendum in November 2017 for a Special Purpose Local Optional Tax (SPLOST). The referendum was passed overwhelmingly in the Election that provided funding for infrastructure projects such as street paving, sidewalks, parks improvements, intersection improvement and sidewalk improvements.
