Pursuant to the requirements of O.C.G.A. § 48-5-32 the City of Stonecrest does hereby publish the following presentation of the current year's tax digest and levy, along with the history of the tax digest and levy for the past five years.
The City of Stonecrest has tentatively adopted a 2024 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 5.10%%. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at Stonecrest City Hall, 3120 Stonecrest Boulevard, Stonecrest, GA on June 13, 2024 at 11 am and 6 pm
Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at Stonecrest City Hall, 3120 Stonecrest Boulevard, Stonecrest, GA on June 26, 2024 at 6 pm
The public hearings will be virtual and broadcasted live on the City's YouTube Channel.
This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 1.257 mills, an increase of 0.061 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 1.196 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $275,000 is approximately $7.63 and the proposed tax increase for a non-homestead property with a fair market value of $450,000 is approximately $9.15.
The City of Stonecrest has tentatively adopted a 2025 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 1.53 percent.
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at Stonecrest City Hall, 3120 Stonecrest Blvd, Stonecrest GA on June 9, 2025 at 12:00pm and 6:00pm.

This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 1.257 mills, an increase of .019 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 1.238 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $300,000 is approximately $2.37 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $500,000 is approximately $3.33.
Comprehensive User Fee Study Report
The City of Stonecrest has consulted with The Matrix Consulting Group to conduct an in-depth study of the current fee structures, legal compliance, and the average level of effort associated with each activity to provide an updated, comprehensive Master Fee Schedule.
Attached is the draft Fee Study Report that includes feedback from the following departments: Community Development-Building-Planning and Zoning, Finance, and Parks and Recreation.
The recommendations outlined in the draft Fee Study will be presented at the November 10th, 2025, work session and at a public hearing at the December 18th, 2025, Regular City Council Meeting.
