Stonecrest Zoning Ordinance Update

The City of Stonecrest is updating its zoning ordinance. Based on the policies and goals adopted in our very first Comprehensive Plan, the initiative first, assesses how the zoning code does and does not meet our vision and goals and second, will generate text amendments to improve it.

What is zoning?  Zoning is the legal framework for how property may be used and how the built environment may develop (Zoning 101 fact sheet).

How is the work getting done? Consultants have been working with city staff all year. Interviews with city council, city staff and meetings with the planning commission have informed our efforts to date. We have prepared a Public Involvement Plan for public outreach activity. We will meet with property owners, businesses and residents. See below for upcoming events for learning about the project and providing your input.
