CodeRED is a FREE emergency notification service provided to all residents and businesses within DeKalb County that will notify you of emergency information through phone calls, text messages, emails, and the CodeRED Mobile Alert app. The system will be used to keep you informed of local events that may immediately impact your safety. As a local resident or business owner, DeKalb Emergency Management Agency (DEMA), encourages you to take action and register your cell phone for this service and verify your location to receive targeted notifications that directly impact your home or business.
The CodeRED® system will be used to send critical and time-sensitive communications such as:
- Boil Water Notices
- Power outages
- Chemical spills and HAZMAT incidents
- Viral outbreaks
- Evacuation notices
- Missing children and persons

Nixle Alert
Nixle is a Community Information Service dedicated to helping you stay connected to the information that matters most to you, depending on your physical location. Stonecrest residents can stay connected to the Dekalb Police Department, local community agencies and organizations, and important information from other locations throughout the country that are relevant to you. Sign up to be alerted about severe weather warnings, evacuation notices, bio-terrorism alerts, boil water notices, and missing child alerts. This service is offered at no charge to Stonecrest residents. Information is immediately available over your cell phone by text message, by email, and over the web.
