The City of Stonecrest advises motorists of upcoming lane and road closures at Evans Mill and Salem roads. This is due to a water main installation project by DeKalb County Watershed Management. Crews will install a 12-inch ductile iron pipe, along with valves and hydrants, as part of an infrastructure improvement project.
Scheduled Closures:
- Friday, April 4, 2025: A lane closure will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Evans Mill and Salem roads. Motorists should expect delays and allow extra travel time.
- Monday, April 7 – Friday, April 11, 2025: The roadway will be completely closed to through traffic. Detour signs will be posted, and drivers are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes.
The City of Stonecrest urges all commuters to plan ahead and to follow instructions on the posted signs to ensure a smooth travel experience.
