(STONECREST, GA – February 18, 2026) – The City of Stonecrest is bringing rhythm to the city with an electrifying Battle of the Drumlines on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Miller Grove High School Gymnasium.
Launched in 2025, the Battle of the Drumlines was created to spotlight student excellence while strengthening connections between the city of Stonecrest, high schools, HBCUs, and community at-large. Building on its inaugural success, this year’s showcase promises an even more crowd-moving experience to cap off Black History Month.
“This is such a dynamic showcase of extraordinary talent from our young people — their discipline, precision, and teamwork,” said Stonecrest Mayor Jazzmin Cobble. “When our high school students share the floor with HBCU band members who once stood in their shoes, it makes college aspirations feel tangible and within reach. It is moments like this second annual Battle of the Drumlines that make us truly Stonecrest PROUD!”
The high-energy showcase will feature performances from drumlines representing Albany State University, Clark Atlanta University, Fort Valley State University and Talladega College, along with standout high school programs from across DeKalb County and surrounding areas.
Participating high schools include Creekside, Douglas County, Martin Luther King Jr., Miller Grove, Southwest DeKalb and Westlake, all coming together for a competitive yet celebratory display of artistry, creative expression, and school spirit.
Community members, families, students and alumni are invited to come support their favorite team. This event is free and open to the public, however, seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Miller Grove High School is located at 2645 DeKalb Medical Parkway in Stonecrest, GA 30058.
