Councilmembers Alecia Washington, District 3, and Tara Graves, District 1, were acknowledged for their outstanding commitment to professional development and excellence in municipal governance.

During the 2025 GMA Annual Convention held this June, Councilwoman Washington received a Certificate of Achievement from the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute. Ms. Washington completed 72 hours of training, including 36 hours from the required list and the state-mandated Newly Elected Officials Institute.

Councilwoman Tara Graves completed the Georgia Municipal Association's Municipal Leader Community and Workplace Culture Certificate Program. This Program is a transformative learning experience designed to equip municipal leaders with the tools, strategies, and mindset to foster vibrant workplaces and thriving communities.

The councilmembers' recognition underscores their commitment to serving the community with excellence, ensuring that Stonecrest remains at the forefront of effective municipal governance.
