Mayor Jason Lary authorized a Stonecrest, minority contractor to replace a damaged fence near Walmart (Panola & Fairington Roads). This repair improved safety by reestablishing the barrier between I-20 and Fairington Rd and removed blight associated with the long-standing toppled fence.

This segment highlights the $2.1 million purchase of Sears' property at The Mall of Stonecrest. The city's newest acquisition will be used as an outpost for the city's first police precinct. Additionally, the 156,000 square foot property will have other uses for the city.
